Who Runs OmegleLite
OmegleLite is published and operated under the OmegleLite name and is an independent service. It is not run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Omegle.com, which shut down permanently in November 2023 — OmegleLite was built afterwards as a separate platform with its own moderation and privacy rules.
The platform carries no advertising and has no paid tier. Running costs — the signalling server, the TURN relays that keep peer-to-peer calls connecting, and hosting — are covered by voluntary donations, which is what keeps every chat mode free for everyone.
Our Terms of Service establish a neutral dispute resolution framework with binding individual online arbitration.

Use the form on our Contact page, or email omeglelite1@gmail.com. That inbox handles support questions, abuse reports, privacy and data-deletion requests, ban appeals, and legal notices. Privacy requests receive a response within 30 days.
How Safety and Moderation Work
An 18+ gate before any match. Nobody enters the matching queue without ticking four separate confirmations: that they are 18 years or older, and that they accept the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines. Anyone who reports meeting a minor can select "Underage user (under 18)" as the report reason, which we treat as a priority case.
Three reports in 24 hours means an automatic ban. Every chat has a report button covering nudity or sexual content, harassment or bullying, hate speech or discrimination, underage users, and spam or bot behaviour. Reports against the same person are counted over a rolling 24-hour window, and the third one triggers an automatic 24-hour ban applied to both the IP address and the anonymous session ID. The ban is re-checked on every reconnection attempt, so it cannot be cleared by refreshing the page.
Nothing is recorded, and text is sanitised in transit. Video and audio travel directly between the two browsers over WebRTC, so calls never pass through our servers and are never recorded or stored. Text messages are HTML-escaped on the server before being relayed, which prevents a message from injecting scripts (XSS) into the other person's browser. IP address logs and session timestamps are kept for a maximum of 30 days, and abuse or ban records for up to one year.
