📄 TERMS OF SERVICE — OmegleLite
Effective Date: August 24, 2026
Last Updated: August 24, 2026
Welcome to OmegleLite
These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and OmegleLite ("OmegleLite", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the website located at omeglelite.com, including all associated web pages, communication interfaces, signaling services, and technical features (collectively, the "Service" or "Services").
By accessing, browsing, or using OmegleLite, clicking "Start", or initiating any text, voice, or video chat session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use immediately.
1. Independence and Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
OmegleLite is an independent, browser-based communication platform. OmegleLite is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to the original Omegle website (formerly operated at omegle.com by Leif K-Brooks, which permanently ceased operations on November 8, 2023), nor to any subsequent owners, assignees, or trademark holders of the omegle.com domain.
2. Eligibility and Strict 18+ Age Restriction
2.1 Minimum Age Requirement: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of legal majority in your country, state, or province of residence, whichever is higher) to access or use the Service.
2.2 Absolute Prohibition of Minors: Individuals under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from using the Service under any circumstances. Parental or guardian consent is not recognized to grant access to minors.
2.3 User Warranty of Age: By accessing the Service, you represent, warrant, and certify under penalty of perjury that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.
2.4 Immediate Termination of Underage Access: We reserve the right to immediately terminate access, block connections, and apply permanent network bans to any user whom we reasonably suspect or determine to be under 18 years of age, without prior notice.
2.5 Notice to Parents: In accordance with parental control protections (such as 47 U.S.C. Section 230(d)), we notify you that commercially available parental filtering software and hardware tools are available to help limit access to material that may be harmful to minors.
3. Nature and Architecture of the Services
3.1 Account-Free Matching: OmegleLite provides an account-free communication utility. You are not required to create a profile, register an email address, or maintain a persistent account.
3.2 Peer-to-Peer (WebRTC) Communications: All real-time audio and video communications on OmegleLite are established using WebRTC technology directly between user web browsers in an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. OmegleLite servers broker initial signaling handshakes and never record, intercept, or store live video or audio streams during normal operation.
3.3 Ephemeral Text Chat: Text chat messages exchanged between users are routed ephemerally in real time and are permanently cleared when a session terminates.
3.4 Report-Triggered Snapshot Exception: When an active user initiates an abuse report against a connected peer, our system may capture a momentary visual canvas snapshot of the reported session strictly for trust and safety verification, guideline enforcement, and legal compliance.
4. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
By using OmegleLite, you agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OmegleLite, its operators, contributors, and infrastructure providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Transmissions, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
