Free Random Text Chat

OmegleLite text chat is a free random text chat that matches you 1-on-1 with a stranger for an instant typed conversation. It needs no signup, no email address, and no camera or microphone permission of any kind. Messages are relayed in real time with typing indicators and emoji support, and conversations are not stored after the session ends. You remain anonymous the whole time and can skip to a new partner whenever you like.

How text chat on OmegleLite works

  1. Open omeglelite.com/textchat in any modern browser on desktop or mobile.
  2. Confirm you are 18 or older. No camera or microphone permission is requested.
  3. Press start to join the matching queue and get paired with a random stranger.
  4. Type to chat, or press skip to be matched with someone new.
  5. Report anyone who breaks the rules — three reports within 24 hours triggers an automatic ban.

Text Chat questions, answered

Do I need a camera or microphone for text chat?

No. Text chat is messages only and never asks for camera or microphone access, which makes it usable on locked-down devices or when you have no working webcam.

Are my messages saved?

No. Conversations are not written to a database or retained after the chat ends. Once you skip or close the tab, the messages are gone for both people.

Can I use text chat on my phone?

Yes. The interface is fully responsive and works in mobile browsers on Android and iOS with no app to install.

Is OmegleLite text chat free?

Yes. Random text chat on OmegleLite is completely free, with no subscription, no message limits, and no premium tier.
